PNGDF and FEiA team up on civil-military emergency response workshop at GHS2026
Our team facilitated a workshop with Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) colleagues this week at GHS2026 in Kuala Lumpur, on strengthening civil-military coordination through joint training. PNGDF are partners in CORE-PNG, our ongoing civil-military health emergency response training initiative.
The workshop walked participants through a scenario: responding to an infectious disease outbreak after a natural disaster, with a focus on gender, equity, diversity and social inclusion (GEDSI).
Civil and military participants from more than 10 countries shared experiences and discussed how both sectors can address GEDSI issues during emergencies.
